“Siam Agri Volunteer” supported forest rehabilitation in “Reforestation of Thai People as a Continuation of His Majesty the Late King’s Determination Project” in Nan province

Siam Agri Volunteer showed its strong support in “Reforestation of Thai People as a Continuation of His Majesty the Late King’s Determination Project” during 14-15 July 2018. The project was concerned with the reforestation in Nan’s watershed forest at Doi Kusatharn, Kun Satharn National Park in a 100-rai area. Siam Agre Supply supported a funding to purchase a land for the construction of school building at Praket Wechasak School, one of the schools under His Majesty the King’s education funding project. Moreover, the Company had cooperated in the reforestation project to restore the abundance of watershed forest located in the high hill while rehabilitating the forest for its sustainability. This is to express our deep allegiance and sincere gratitude towards the Royal Grandmother (Somdet Ya)’s royal grace as well as to further His Majest the Late King’s determination in the area of environmental conservation and to support the royal project of “Promote Good Deeds and Kind-heartedness for Our Nation”.

“Reforestation of Thai People as a Continuation of His Majesty the Late King’s Determination Project” was administered by Assistant Professor Acting Lieutenant Songsak Julthirapongse Ph.D, the former dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok, who was the chairman of the reforestation in Nan’s watershed forest at Doi Kusatharn, Nanoi district, Nan. Many teachers, alumni and current students of the university, students of Buriram Pittayakom School, teachers and students of agricultural colleges nationwide, teachers, alumni and current students of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, companies, stores and general public had participated in this great event. Besides, Khun Paanward (Waraporn) Chaiyakul, the owner of Sarn Kai and Sukorn magazine (magazine providing knowledge and information of chickens and pigs) (an alumni of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok, Cholburi) was responsible as a coordinator of the project. The objectives of this project are as follows:

1. To recall the royal grace of the Royal Grandmother (Somdet Ya) and to continue His Majesty the Late King’s determination in the area of environmental promotion and natural resources conservation.

2. To promote education in which the Company bought a piece of land and donated to Prakit Wechasak School, one of the schools under His Majesty the King’s education funding project.

3. To encourage Bangphra alumni and current students to participate in performing good deeds as a way to further His Majesty the Late King and Somdet Ya’s determination in forest rehabilitation and to instill awareness of environmental conservation for sustainable growth of the forests.

Many people participated in this event and they all came with a strong will to help plant trees as a way to show their allegiance and the generate more watershed forests. Such volunteer project had played an important role in instilling people to become “a true giver” and to build a positive relationship through their mutual help and great teamwork.
